Seems like there's not enough voltage going through the switch to the driver side window, The 18 V supply is 50% more than the design of the motor, so it's very likely that it would run a lot better. The motor could be "tired", and that is why it's slower when using just the 12 V from the driver ... Try rolling all windows up then go to each individual door and hold the switch up for 5 seconds. Now the window works, but only sort of. When going down, it will go smoothly, but the auto down doesn’t work. When going up, it only goes in 1 inch increments.
