As such, it’s important to ensure the head doesn’t spin (i.e. the trimmer doesn’t idle too high) when the throttle isn’t engaged. Ours was configured perfectly from the factory.I was using Shakespeare ugly line and it does not straighten out (sort of like cheap fishing line). It works fine in the Stihl gas trimmer, but the ego does not spin fast enough for the line to straighten. I tried Echo crossfire and the Ego works much better.
