Basically all of the menu screens have a little of the top cut off, in instant action and multiplayer the text is blown up and hanging off the screen or overlapping with other UI and same goes for the buttons in these tabs, but only half of the buttons ... To fix right click on Star wars battlefront in steam library/ then properties/ then controller tab/ then set to 'disable steam input'--- then the controller worked great. note that on controller disconnect/inactivity the controller configs will swap back to steam requiring a game reset to switch back.
