It's too close, but there is a waterline from evaporation at the top where it stops. You should not have that much air/oxygen. Need to have more water.

I'd say this is a solid aquarium, and they spent a lot of money on the set up and looks. Hell, they eve added live plants unlike shitty plastic ones. Compared to some school aquariums that look like someone vomited in them and then threw fish in, this is a very solid set up. Someone's treated this with love.
