Port of Excelsior Reverend Charles Galpin docked Lake Minnetonka’s first steamboat, the Governor Ramsey, here in 1860. The lake’s largest steamboats, the City of St. Louis and the Belle of Minnetonka operated from this site in the late nineteenth century.
