IIRC, I tapped the pin out from left side, the placed barrel in vise (well protected) and taped front of receiver and tapped with rubber ...The 795 is a great vehicle for appleseed. Just because lots of people get sucked into 10/22s for the aftermarket parts doesn't mean its a better rifle.
