The 10w40 is a good choice but don't run automobile oil it has friction modifiers that will ruin the wet clutch's in that bike. You need oil rated for wet clutch use. I just changed the final gear oil on my bayou 220, the manual calls for .21 qt or 200 ml which does not seem like very much for that size gearbox. I went ahead and added 1/2 quart, which makes it where I can just see it. I am used to adding gear oil to the gearbox is full on other models. Step 3. Remove the cap covering the oil filter then remove the oil filter. The filter is located on the front right side of the motor. You will see a cap with two bolts. Unscrew the bolts then remove the cap and pull out the filter. Drop in the new filter with the new o-ring.
