I had a bit of interest in learning how old the machine was due to its build quality and weight when we transported it to my home.Remove the chute base, clean any rust and smear with lithium grease, graphite paste, or synthetic grease. Drill, tap, and install 4 zerk fittings in the auger. Take the wheels off and grease the contact point using synthetic grease or above. I just picked up a JD 826 with a techumseh pull start, seems to be newer than the body but I cant be sure. the thing that is the strangest about this model is that the chute is YELLOW, ROUND and TALL.
