Personally I like wing of astel far better than moonveil. Free ranged attacks on heavies and a weapon art that can sunblock a lot of bosses. I think the damage output of the wing is better and it's better for PvE. Moonveil is good for PvP but IMO not nearly as powerful for PvE. Turns out you need to carry over the coiled sword from DS3 and thrust it into the hole the Darkmoon Greatsword (tip) came from. While I personally don't use colossal swords, I believe Giant Slayer is a good AoW on them. I see it do a lot of work on single enemies while a pretty good utility AoW is storm stomp. Storm Stomp doesn't do a lot of damage but it could get you a hit or two which is sometimes all you need and is very fast.
