Most who were getting positions out of their home state didn't really start looking until they passed CITP and half way through SABT. Some got offered relocation expenses and some didn't. Depends a lot on your family situation. Some rent their house out with the hope of transfer back to the area. This forum is for current and prospective Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Special Agents in the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This forum is designed for the seasoned HSI Special Agent as well as applicants for entry level Special Agent positions. Lets try to keep this forum clean and professional. HSI should be posting an entry-level 1811 job opening on January 10, 2023. This opening will be posted for three days and will be at the GS-5/7 pay grades. Assessments should be in April 2023. The assessments will consist of three parts, the third part being an interview.
