I have 2K Fatboy owners manual and according to that: oiltank w filter 3.5 qt. transmission (approximation) 24 US oz. primary chain case (approximation) 26 US oz. I suppose 02 is the same. No experience yet about oil weight. Just got my first Harley, Fatboy, yesterday.Install a new O-ring. Slide the new O-ring onto the transmission plug and run it all the way to the bottom. Re-install the drain plug. Snug it up by hand, then use the torque wrench set at 14-21 foot-pounds torque to tighten it. My question is about the oil pressure. When I first fire up the motorcycle, the oil pressure is just about at 30 pounds per the factory gauge at idle. When I ride about 20 miles and let the bike ride idle, the pressure on the gauge only shows about 5 to maybe 10 pounds. I check to make sure the oil is somewhere on the stick. If it is I ride the bike to fully warm it up and let it run on the side stand a minute or two.As for the twin cams, some leak but most don't. The area around the primary is probably most common. If all you are doing is changing the primary oil, you just remove the small drain plug, check condition of o-ring (replace if needed), and refill (with right amount) thru the inspection cover which does not always have to have a new gasket.
