Failed NGN at 86 questions. I took the NGN NCLEX RN exam this past Wednesday, August 4th. I graduated from college with my BSN in 2020 and struggled to pass the old NCLEX 3 times. I've been working with a tutor for the past two months in preparation for this exam, and I felt EXTREMELY prepared to take this test.Stopped at 85 questions. I feel terrible, my weaknesses are PEDS/OB and I got at least 50 of those. More than half of my exam was SATA questions, no math, 1 EKG strip. Lots of prioritization and delegation questions. Sobbed in the parking lot right after the exam. I'm so sure I failed again. It's like 3am and I literally cannot even sleep. The same holds true with trying to guess whether you’ve passed NCLEX based on the number of questions you received. In other words, if the computer shuts off at 85 questions, the only thing that means was that the computer had a high enough confidence to determine that you either passed or failed at that point. There is a high percentage of first time passing rates for the NCLEX, something over 85%. Getting through nursing school is a much tougher task than passing the NCLEX, as you can see by the passing rates. From my experience, out of my initial class from 1st semester of 40, about only 20 of the original graduated.Aug 16, 2006. I took my NCLEX last Friday and I didnt get any math either.
