In some puppies, the ring of tissue in the abdominal wall fails to completely close, even though the skin heals just fine. This leaves an opening in the abdomen ...It really worried me. I always pointed it out to my surgeon, onco and radiologist. They always say it is the scar tissue underneath. I have had mammogram and ultrasound and had the all clear.
