after watching strimtom's video and after experimenting the blightcaster class on hardcore server until level 29, I have to admit that on hardcore server a blightcaster hive master build is a lot more survivable than a cold druid build.The RL 10 robe/belt/cloak can take you to 29. The combination of each item having something useful (profane 1, ghostly, blurry, qual dex 1) along with the set bonus still being strong makes them more than worth it. Crafted gear, on the other hand, can outstrip the heroic adherent.
