I would start by levelling ADP early on. The agility stat that it boosts was only in ds2 and it affects your invincibility frames on rolls as well as item use speed (estus). Very important. Ideally, you want to aim to level ADP long run for 106 agility to make it feel like the DS1 roll but starting the game by boosting it to 10-15 is a good start.The best rings tend to be flynns ring, third dragon ring, old leo ring, Ring of blades, ring of steel protection, bracing knuckle ring, and chloranthy ring, in roughly that order of importance! Everything else is far more situational! Flynn is better if the weapon is infused.
