I'll list a few reasons why I did this but this post isn't meant to kick the dead horse on the subject. I want to share a few things I discovered while preparing for the job. Go ahead and crack this open, and be prepared as some fluid will most likely come out of the fill bolt. Next, locate the drain bolt from underneath the vehicle. This bolt will face the drivers side of the transmission case and is located several inches below the fill bolt. Insert your 3/8 socket into the bolt, and crack it loose.Manual Transmission Fluid. Have a dealer check the fluid level and replace if necessary. Do not attempt to check or change the manual transmission fluid yourself.
